Freedom Fighters
I'm 16 years old
And people are fighting for my rights,
My father included
Are trying to keep hope for our future in sight.
These fighters for our freedom,
with voices often ignored,
Use logic and honesty;
As their corruption killing sword.
Even when knocked... » read this article

Secrets
They are custom made demons.
We created them,
Kept them alive,
Tried to bury them.
They are our choices creations.
Dark and hidden.
Taken to the grave,
No other must know,
Locked in our minds forever.
To think of sharing is forbidden.
Secrets hide behind our eyes.
Stabbing... » read this article

When Sally met Santa
Asleep she was,
Curled up on the couch.
She tried to stay awake,
But fell asleep in a slouch.
Her parents walked out,
And seen Sally's state.
They covered her with another blanket,
Went to bed leaving sally to her wait.
A noise woke her up,... » read this article

Survived
Through all the problems and hurt,
Your hope and happiness prevailed.
Not only when it rained,
But also when it hailed.
You've been to the lowest low.
You've been knocked hard to the ground.
Yet you summoned the power to stand,
And knew there were things yet to... » read this article

Living
You look out the window,
But stay inside.
Even though you know it's nice out there,
With a breeze enough to get those kites to glide.
You stare at the water,
But don't get in past three feet.
Even though you can swim,
And you want freedom from the... » read this article

Love-is nowhere to be found.
Hate-is around every corner.
Wants-fill a day.
Needs-make a day longer.
Wishes-lacking.
Dreams-forgotten.
Light-fades in every eye.
Dark-turns all rotten.
Comfort-truly comes from few.
Pain-eventually goes away.
Happiness-is hard to obtain.
Hurt-always wants to stay.
Trust- must be earned.
Deceit- shouldnt exist.

Dream of America
It started as an idea.
Then became a dream.
To then become a goal.
Strove for even when called obscene.
A prize,
That has been criticized and ridiculed.
Its contestants never wavering,
For they would not be fooled.
Ignoring those who were angry.

Mommy
Mommy,
What's a bomb?
Is it a bad thing?
Is it wrong?
Mommy,
What does greed mean?
Is it a new toy?
Can it even be seen?
Mommy,
What's a war?
Is it that thing you use,
to mop the floor?
And here you thought,... » read this article

Drums of war
Our finger is pointing
They say "their the ones to blame
Lets kill all their people
And put their country to shame"
They say "we don't need any proof
We don't need to here what they have to say
They don't follow our rules
Or live by... » read this article

Honesty.
There's an interesting word.
One obviously,
That our government has never heard.
Lets se if we can find another one.
How about integrity?
Hard to believe they know that one,
Considering they our throwing our county into poverty.
What about courage?
A lot of our politicians served... » read this article

Empire or Democracy
An Empire
Has but one leader
That has all control
And separates the rich from the bottom feeder
The people have no say
When it comes to their countrys well being
And they only see
What their leader wants them seeing
That leader has... » read this article
